We had a great time this weekend camping at the Beacon Hill Touring Park near Poole in Dorset. We even missed any major rain showers. Last time I camped was 20 something years ago when young free and single! I only bought a tent from Argos the day before we left for the bargain bucket price of £97.89 including 3 airbeds and 3 sleeping bags (both 2 double, 1 single) PLUS 2 torches. What a deal! Warning: family tents are selling like hotcakes despite the weather. A similar tent advertised heavily in the newspapers by Halfords proved impossible to track down within 100 miles of my house.

So I cut a good deal on the tent. But even better my Mrs. was pretty glad to get back to some home comforts at the end of the trip. I think she has fallen back in love with her own battered kitchen, which means I can delay buying the new one as long as possible. Another saving for now.  If you have any questions about the campsite or the tent then drop us a line via the About Us page.

More behind the scenes.
